If you build the foundations by learning to play the ships properly it will really help you long term, causing you to be a better player which in turn will help you have more fun If you want a low-tier US BB to help you grind captains, then I'd suggest maybe taking a look at USS Texas once you've reached the New York, as they are very similar ships and Texas is pretty strong as a medium/top tier BB.
You should then continue grinding till at least T7/8 before you even start to think about buying a T8 premium.
If you want to grind the US BB line, then go ahead and buy the South Carolina, and rather than free-exping straight to T4/5, you need to grind it properly which will also help you pick up the basic skills that you need to do well. You've played no games in any T3 battleship, so that's where I'd indicate you start. This is fine, it just indicates that you need to go back to basics and learn to play the ship class, rather than jumping straight into a higher tier premium. I've just looked at your stats - please do not buy a T8 ship yet, as you don't have the required experience or skill level to potentially play in T10 games (you only have 80 battles in the game currently, aside from Co-op ones which don't count).ģ1 of your 50 battleship battles have come in the T6 Dunkerque, and judging by your stats you're really not doing great in it (15k average damage per game, 45% W/R). I am asking you because there is no test option for premium ships and i do not know their strenghts? So i am a relatively new player and a huge battleship fanatic, and i want a tier 8 premium to accelerate research for tech trees (American, Italian and French trees) and i feel like i need a higher tier premium to achieve that the fastest, i have a few options and i am not sure which one to pick? The options are: Vanguard, Tirpitz, Alabama, Gascogne, Roma and Lenin.
